Me and My New ‘BEST’UHL Friend

A couple weeks ago I stumbled across a company called Bestuhl on the social media platform twitter. After a few messages toing and throwing between myself and their marketing guru, I thought to myself “this range has real potential”. It became clear that we needed to add this range to our already extensive office seating arsenal. The range offers something different, something contemporary, something that had that 'Je ne sais quoi', an elusive quality!

If you've seen one office chair, you’ve seen them all! - WRONG!

Just over a week ago my sample J1 Mesh Task Chair arrived. Still in the Christmas spirit, I must admit I got a little excited. Its remarkable contemporary design hit me instantaneously. Assembly was achieved in a matter of minutes and with consummate ease. A couple of minutes had passed and I just found myself gazing at the J1, like it was a work of art. I’m a sucker for design and when it looks good I’m even worse. I must admit, I’m a modern design kind of guy, so the Bestuhl range was always going to be right up my street. Plus, it comes complete with a mesh back, which is a must for any Office Chair I sit on.

After I gathered myself, I adjusted my chair accordingly (again with consummate ease) and took a seat. I wriggled around for a little bit, in a bid to gain the desired posture! Lumbar support set in place, CHECK! Weight tension control adjusted, CHECK! It was the ‘Seat Slide’ that capped off the adaptability of the J1, allowing me to adjust the seat depth to my desired position, giving me greater comfort and enhancing the ergonomics. I was now sitting comfortably in my NEW chair. It’s one of the most comfortable chairs I’ve sat on to date, the Syncro-Tilt mechanism is an important feature of the J1 and it’s so easy to adjust. If you want to sit bolt upright you can. On the other hand, if you wanted to kick back and relax (which of course I don’t do, my MD will be reading this) you can. The Bestuhl chair would be perfect for sunbathing during the warmer months. If you happen to see a grown man on a beach in the summer, pop over and say hello. THAT’LL BE ME!!

I felt reinvigorated, relaxed. In my opinion, being comfortable and at ease in any workplace will improve performance.

To conclude… I think the J1 is going to be a huge success over the coming months. Sometimes you can find a chair that ticks all the boxes on the ergonomic side of things, however, it doesn’t look the part. Bestuhl have managed to combine the two and I’m sure as it becomes more well-known in the Office Design sector more people will be experiencing the same levels of joy that I currently am.
